Gratitude in Four Words

Florida_SnowFlorida’s own special snow

Flowers blooming in winter

A warm cat’s purr

Deep orange sunset skies

Sudden bursts of laughter

Golden sunlight through trees

The wood smoke smell

Colored leaves drifting down

Honking geese in formation

The words: Thank You

The words: You’re welcome

Snuggling in the cold

Smelling fresh warm cookies

A wintery electric kiss

Walking on dried leaves

Bright blue wintery skies

Twinkling stars at night

A child’s holiday smile

Hot cocoa with marshmallows

Exhaling cold smoke puffs

Leafless branches touching sky

Meals shared with friends

My own personal chef

Hugs for returning children

Singing holiday carols off-key

Neighborhood spirit shining bright

Helping others in need

Letting go of regrets

Anticipation of new possibilities

Last, but not least…

Best friends getting married

It was a small affair, but perfect for us.

JC is wearing the rose and I’m holding his hand.

We’re surrounded by our children and friends:~)

Tho light and dark does dance around
    By moon or glistening sun
With hearts of fear souls beware
    The sessions almost done
The gifts we buy to catch their eye
Through all the stores we run
To you I say as I smile your way
    Merry Christmas to everyone

    You what? Congrats!

I was expecting a post about a family gathering for Christmas, but as usual, you always put a spin on it to make it better. 🙂

  10. Oh I love the idea of Christmas weddings especially among friends – roses and gratitude and the lovely picture just shares the JOY all around. Best Wishes to you both and your families – may the blessings be bountiful.

I would add to your list with a big smile….We have 2 new babies this week – Josie born Dec 10 ( Grandparents arrived from Florida just in time) and Simon born at home on Nov 20th. As the neighbor in between I have been in a couple of “holding patterns” lately – lucky me. These new faces are so amazing…

It is as though our block is just radiating joy and happiness – lots of energy.
I can feel it coming from your house too…

(Thank you for the lovely gift you shared with me – fills me with promise too!)
Merry, Merry – Happy Happy – Blessed Be!

You got married? You little sneak! I’m so happy for you! Congratulations! (I’ve always thought that wishing the bride good luck may be traditional, but it sounds a little ominous! And so I say congratulations.) 😉
